The Accessible Meeting Booth XL is the largest model in our DDA-compliant range, designed for inclusive group meetings of up to six people. It combines a touchless entry sensor, floor-level wheelchair access, ISO 23351-1 verified soundproofing and ample interior space to accommodate wheelchair users alongside seated companions. The XL is intended for workplaces that need to provide a private, distraction-free meeting environment that is genuinely accessible to all team members, including those with mobility, sensory or neuro-divergent needs.

Both booths share the same DDA-compliant features: touchless door sensor, floor-level entry, soundproofing and inclusive furniture options. The Large booth seats up to four people in a 3.06 m² internal area, while the XL extends to 4.28 m² internally and seats up to six. Choose the XL when meetings regularly include a wheelchair user plus three to five companions, or when group sessions need additional space for assistive equipment. Choose the Large for one-to-one and small-group accessible meetings.

The Accessible Meeting Booth XL is independently tested to ISO 23351-1, the international standard for speech-level reduction in acoustic enclosures. Typical office speech is reduced by around 30 dB at the booth wall, meaning conversations are effectively contained even in busy open-plan environments. The acoustic design also reduces external noise reaching the inside of the booth, which supports neuro-divergent users and users with hearing impairments who rely on quieter background conditions to follow conversation.

The XL uses a dual silent ventilation system — two ultra-quiet Panasonic fans deliver continuous fresh airflow without disturbing the conversation inside. Airflow is sized for six occupants over extended meetings. The fans run automatically while the booth is in use and continue briefly after the booth empties to refresh the interior. Motion-activated LED lighting activates on entry and dims when the booth is empty.

The XL builds on standard DDA-compliance with features designed for group inclusive meetings. The interior provides clear floor space for a wheelchair plus seating for up to five companions on a fold-down sofa bench. A height-adjustable meeting table is available, and the booth can be specified with hearing-loop compatibility and integrated screen-reader friendly displays. The touchless door sensor is positioned at standard standing height and within easy reach from a seated position. Soundproofing reduces sensory overload, which supports users with sensory processing differences.

Internal dimensions are 2.14 m high × 2.04 m wide × 2.10 m deep. External dimensions are 2.30 m high × 2.20 m wide × 2.136 m deep, occupying around 4.70 m² of floor area. The booth weighs 680 kg as a pod alone, rising to 833 kg with Furniture Set 1 or 761 kg with Furniture Set 2. Allow at least 30 cm clearance behind the booth for the ventilation outlet and clear approach space in front for wheelchair access through the door.

Onsite installation by our trained team typically takes three to four hours once the booth is unpacked. The booth arrives flat-packed in CKD (completely knocked-down) format and is assembled in place. Once installed, the booth is freestanding and plugs into a standard 13 A socket. The touchless sensor and motion-activated lighting are pre-wired and require no separate electrical installation. The booth can be relocated later without structural alteration to the floor or ceiling.

The Accessible Meeting Booth XL ships with a 5-year manufacturer warranty covering the structure, glass, electrical components, touchless door sensor and ventilation system. All booths carry CE marking for the UK and EU, and UL listing for the United States, confirming compliance with the applicable electrical-safety and product standards. Replacement parts and after-sales support are coordinated directly through Soundbox Store.

We deliver and install the Accessible Meeting Booth XL throughout the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Switzerland. UK and EU lead times are typically 4–6 weeks from order; US, UAE and Swiss orders are 6–8 weeks. Installation by our trained team is included as standard for UK and EU deliveries; installation options for other regions are confirmed at order.

Our meeting and phone booths require simple installation, we recommend using our professional installation team. Each booth features a built-in power inlet on the side with an integrated 13-amp fused spur. Once assembled, the included 2-metre cable simply plugs into a standard mains socket, making setup simple.
